Happy New Year, Everyone! I can't believe we have already passed the first week of the new year; time is flying by!! As I mentioned in my last post, here are my six goals for this year in 2022.
1.) Try 12 new things (1 new monthly activity).
I'm quite an adventurous person, but I want to expand my horizons further, whether baking or cooking something new for a whole month, taking a class on a new hobby, or traveling to a new (local) place. The possibilities are endless!
2.) Work on my blog.
I've been on and off with this blog because I procrastinate or feel uninspired. Of course, I wish I could be traveling right now, but that will have to be put on hold for now. Meantime, I will continue to talk about all the local adventures that I go to with my friends, family, or by myself. I will also talk about my lifestyle, fitness, and the fashion pieces that I love to wear daily. This year, my goal is to write 2-3 posts per month to keep my explorers up to date and myself accountable.
3.) Drink more water.
When I was an athlete in college, I would drink between 3-4 bottles a day. Occasionally, I would drink a gallon of water only when training for championships and having back-to-back practice. My goal for this year is to get back to the same water intake I used to do back in college and maybe drink more of a gallon.
4.) Become more present.
I have struggled to be present; I was either stuck in the past, distracted by social media, or worried about the future. Instead of just enjoying the day as it comes. The only thing that worries contribute to is tension and stress, thus ruining a good day. It's up to you to decide what kind of day you'll have; let's fill our days with happiness, no matter how big or small. There's always a reason to be happy and smile.
5.) Journaling daily or weekly.
Another habit that I struggled with ever since I was in high school. I have countless half-written or empty pages of journals, and I couldn't keep up with my schedule in school because I was involved in numerous extracurricular activities and swimming. Now that I've finished school, I have some more free time to dedicate some time out of my schedule to write my thoughts about my day and express gratitude.
6.) Drive more.
I've had my license for a while, but I've never gone by myself because I kept putting it off. Honestly, I was scared going by myself. A few days ago, I faced this fear head-on. I had to move the car because there was no parking in front of my grandparents' doctor's office. The doctor's office is in New York City, so I drove by myself for the first time in NYC. Now that I've overcome this fear, I want to go more independently and drive more frequently. That way, I can start going on adventures with my friends and by myself when I get my own car in the future.
See you next time, fellow explorers!
Love,
E
