Yesterday, I went to my first Flower Arrangement class with one of my sisters. I got into this hobby sometime last year, when I explored old and new hobbies.
Flower Arrangements is one of the new hobbies that I got into. I've always loved flowers since I was a little girl. My great grandma's name is Flor de Maria Jaimes. Today would've been my great grandma's 104th birthday. Once I completed the flower arrangement, I named it after my great-grandma; in honor of her. Flor means flower in Spanish. Both her name and the activity were quite fitting.
I took the class in Montclair, NJ, at a plant shop called deVine Plantary. It was a collaborative event with BNE Floral. The price for the event was $65 per person; it included everything for the price, such as the supplies and flowers.
Once the class finished, you could shop for some plants to bring back home. Since I don't have space for a big plant, I bought two succulent plants. My mom and I are babysitting my grandma's plants, and they're taking up the majority of the space in the house. Lol
It's a fun activity to do by yourself, with friends, or with your significant other (SO). I learned a lot about flower arrangements, and I can't wait for future arrangements that I'll make in the future.
I checked off the new activity for February! I'll be writing the new activity for January very soon. It's been quite a busy few weeks; I'll update everyone when I get the chance.
I hope you all have a fabulous Happy Valentine's Day filled with lots of love from loved ones and, most importantly, love for yourself because you deserve it today, every day, and always. <3
